RUDO's two Operating Directors and two senior associates have a combined experience of over 45 years regarding training and development as well as research and strategy development.
Mr Thabo Khanye is a training and project management specialist with an academic background in Education, training and development. Mr. Khanye's experience ranges locally from training design, material development and facilitation and internationally in researching community colleges as alternative methods of delivering education and training in South Africa. Also part of the Credit Law Review, he has written and produced booklets and study materials on the National Credit Act, Consumer Protection Act and Debt Counselling. He has taught and produced hundreds of registered debt counsellors nationally. Thabo has written several academic papers on Community Colleges and ABET.
Portia Sekati is a research specialist with a postgraduate degree in Research and Statistic and has an extensive experience in banking and microfinance. She is registered with the South African Market Research Association (SAMRA) as a Market Research Practitioner and has worked for various companies at both junior and senior management level before co-founding RUDO in 2002. She has contributed and participated extensively in the Credit Law Review of 2002-2004, which has resulted in the promulgation of the National Credit Act. She participated in international projects within financial regulation in the USA and Asia, has written several papers on the Credit Law Review and Consumer Protection, and has presented in various local and international conferences.
Rethabile Sebona is holds a Master of Business Administration Degree in Marketing from Leicester University, England.She possesses twenty six years of experience working, in areas ranging from pharmaceuticals, economic research, change management, project management and designing regional integration strategies. She has international exposure which she gained whilst studying and working abroad in the USA and Indonesia respectively. She also has ten years of experience in consulting, lobbying and networking with strategic leaders in government, government agencies, parastatals, business and civil society and NGOs. Her experience in regional integration includes the analysis of different regional integration models, the identification of challenges and gaps of integrating Southern Africa economies into a common monetary union. As part of her thesis, she did an extensive study on Globalization and its impacts in South African Industries.
Tawanda Sibanda has over 25 years experience in the enterprise development arena. He has conducted various assignments on strategy formulation, operational policy analysis, product development, rural finance program design and evaluations as well as review of regulatory frameworks. He worked for ECIAfrica Consulting, a management development firm based in Johannesburg, South Africa as Senior Specialist: Enterprise Development & Microfinance. Prior to joining ECIAfrica, Tawanda worked as Managing Consultant of MS Consulting P/L. In his work with MS Consulting he conducted several assignments on enterprise development policy frameworks, institutional assessments as well as regulatory policy review. Mr Sibanda has worked in several Southern, East and West African countries. He holds an honours degree in Economics and an MBA degree with Milpark Business School in South Africa.
